Vision
Celebrate the Individual Foundation, Inc. was established in 2020, as a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities. We believe that individuals with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) deserve to be integrated in their communities and live full active lives based on their own potential and wishes.
Our goal is to provide participants with rewarding, meaningful, strengths-based programming, which emphasizes social-emotional growth, enhancement of sense of self, education, pre-career/career abilities, academic progress – and enhancement of all skills relevant to productive and rewarding young adult lives in the 21st century.
Our program aims to maximize self-reliance, independence, and self-advocacy skills, and emphasizes community integration and socialization with same-aged, “typically-developing” peers. Our program is based on the most cutting-edge neuroscience which underlies our young adults’ disabilities (such as motor/muscular issues).
